Job summary

EPAM Systems in Mexico seeks a Lead QA Automation Engineer to safeguard the quality of an enterprise AI platform centered on MCP Servers. You will design testing frameworks and drive automation strategies across backend services.

You will mentor teams, build Python-based test suites, and integrate QA into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring robust, scalable solutions and strong API, microservice, and tool integrations in a globally oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of QA experience with independently managing test strategy.
• At least 1 year leading development teams.
• Thorough familiarity with MCP Server/Model Context Protocol and its foundations.
• Strong Python automation, including API and integration testing.
• Experience testing distributed backend infrastructure, APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of GenAI/LLM and agent-based architectures.
• Familiar with CI/CD workflows and automated testing methodologies.
• Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher).

Responsibilities

• Shape QA strategy by examining product and architectural specs for MCP-driven AI solutions.
• Build Python-driven automated test suites covering MCP Servers, tools, APIs, and integrations.
• Verify MCP protocol functioning including tool discovery, schema validation, auth, and integration cases.
• Test agent-to-MCP-to-tool workflows across positive, negative, boundary, failure, and security scenarios.
• Assess dependability, performance, scalability, and production viability of MCP services.
• Embed automated testing within CI/CD pipelines and quality checkpoints.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to address failures and implement fixes.
