Job summary

BriteGenix is seeking a Senior SDET to lead and hands-on execute the quality strategy for a cloud-native serverless microservices platform on AWS. This role focuses on building an automation-first testing strategy rather than traditional QA, empowering teams to own quality end-to-end.

You will design scalable test strategies, build API/integration automation, and mentor engineers while integrating quality gates into CI/CD—remote work option for Mexico-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks.
• Deep experience testing REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, IAM).
• Experience with Cypress for frontend automation.
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Redesign and enforce a scalable test strategy aligned with a healthy test pyramid.
• Build robust API and integration automation frameworks.
• Implement contract testing across microservices.
• Validate serverless workflows (Lambda, event-driven flows, IAM, retries, DLQs).
• Integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Reduce regression time and flaky test rates.
• Mentor engineers and drive shared ownership of quality.

We're looking for a Senior SDET to lead and hands-on execute the quality strategy of a cloud-native, serverless microservices platform on AWS. This is not a traditional QA role: you'll design, build, and evolve an automation-first testing strategy.

What you'll do:

• Redesign and enforce a scalable test strategy aligned with a healthy test pyramid
• Build robust API and integration automation frameworks
• Implement contract testing across microservices
• Validate serverless workflows (Lambda, event-driven flows, IAM, retries, DLQs)

What we're looking for:
