Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Mexico City is seeking a seasoned Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Manager to drive reliability and performance across critical production environments. You will lead incident resolution, design scalable cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes and containers, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of reliability.

In this hybrid role, you’ll collaborate with software, QA, product, and operations teams to embed SRE practices, define SLIs/SLOs, and automate deployments

Qualifications

• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for incidents.
• Design, architect, and enhance scalable, highly available infrastructure.
• Champion SRE practices with SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and toil reduction.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Advance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Mentor junior SREs and engineers for reliability and learning.
• Collaborate with software development, QA, product, and operations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead postmortems.
• Identify and lead large-scale system improvements and documentation.
• Author and maintain runbooks and knowledge bases.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and enhance scalable, highly available infrastructure using cloud, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Define SLIs/SLOs, establish error budgets, and automate toil.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting with modern observability tools.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Mentor and coach junior SREs and engineers, fostering reliability.
• Collaborate with software development, QA, product, and operations across the SDLC.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead postmortems.
• Lead large-scale system improvements and document runbooks.
