Job summary

HSBC Global Capability Network in Mexico City is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure our platforms are stable, secure, scalable and highly available during normal operations and incidents.

You will automate build, testing and deployment, own services end to end, promote DevSecOps and continuous delivery, and collaborate across teams to reduce toil and drive resilience across HSBC's production environment in Mexico.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Reliability Engineer and DevOps.
• Experience with CI/CD, Cloud tech, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, Datadog, AppDynamics.
• Operational mindset with focus on resilience and production ownership.
• Strong collaboration and communication to coordinate incidents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service reliability meeting availability and performance goals.
• Prevent and resolve incidents; identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Automate build, testing and deployment to reduce manual errors.
• Prepare infrastructure for growth: capacity, workload, performance, security and resilience.
• Reduce toil through continuous improvement and automation.
• Own services end-to-end from development to production support.
• Promote Agile, DevSecOps and continuous delivery with small, low-risk changes.
• Lead post-incident reviews and disaster-recovery activities.
