Bluelight is a leading software consultancy actively expanding across the Americas. We are seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into reliable services. With 3+ years of backend experience, you will own features end-to-end, write tests, and participate in code reviews.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience with OTP, concurrent and distributed systems.
• Proven design/build of RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Relational databases usage, especially PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• Strong product sense and collaboration in agile teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs using Elixir and Phoenix.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable services.
• Own features from conception to launch, including technical specs and releases.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Stay current with Elixir ecosystem and industry best practices.
