Bluelight is a leading software consultancy that designs and builds innovative applications. We are seeking a backend engineer to create high-performance services using Elixir and the Phoenix framework, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver scalable APIs.

You will own features from concept to release, write tests, and help improve performance and reliability while enjoying a remote-friendly culture with flexible hours and ongoing training opportunities.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a backend focus.
• Strong proficiency with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Ecto, and distributed systems concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in an agile team.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements.
• Take ownership of features from conception to launch with clear technical specs.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Stay current with Elixir ecosystem trends to drive innovation.
