Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy efficiency, seeks a Sr. Procurement Manager to lead a six-member team and drive growth for the Chillers Product Business Unit.

You will report to the Director of Procurement and deliver innovative procurement solutions in a high-expansion environment. You will lead negotiations, optimize spend, and develop supplier relationships while managing end-to-end NPI support and continuous improvement initiatives across a multi-national

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent; an MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 6–10 years in a multinational organization.
• Strategic sourcing experience, preferably with Direct Materials.
• Proven track record leading high-performing teams in a matrix environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with high EI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to handle ambiguity.
• Experience negotiating complex supply contracts; willing to travel 10% globally/domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6 buyers with a growth mindset and strategic focus.
• Develop and execute procurement strategy within the ~1B annual budget.
• Provide end-to-end NPI procurement support for new products.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and quality with key suppliers.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement and supplier innovation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes and governance.
• Coach and develop team capabilities and supplier relationships.
