Overview

We're seeking a Senior/Lead Application Support Engineer (.NET + SQL) - Financial Reporting Systems to provide L1/L2 production support for business-critical reporting and distribution platforms within a financial services environment.

In this role, you'll support enterprise applications responsible for report generation, data processing, integrations, reconciliation activities, and downstream distribution workflows. You'll investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, validate data across multiple systems, and collaborate with business, engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure operational stability and service excellence.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong Application Support, Production Support, SQL, Reporting Operations, and .NET support experience who enjoy troubleshooting complex production environments.

This role is open to candidates at either the Senior or Lead level, depending on experience and overall alignment with the role’s requirements. The final level will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

Your Impact

• Monitor production applications, reporting workflows, data feeds, integrations, and scheduled batch processes.
• Investigate and resolve incidents impacting report generation, data quality, reconciliation processes, and downstream consumers.
• Perform SQL-based data analysis, troubleshooting, and validation to identify root causes and restore service.
• Support .NET applications by analyzing logs, troubleshooting exceptions, validating deployments, and resolving configuration issues.
• Monitor application health, alerts, interfaces, and operational KPIs while ensuring adherence to SLA commitments.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to resolve production issues and improve platform stability.
• Support production releases, smoke testing, change implementations, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Contribute to knowledge management by maintaining runbooks, operational procedures, and support documentation.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

Must Have

• 6-8+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or L1/L2 Support environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments with ownership of incident investigation and resolution.
• Strong SQL expertise including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, data validation, reconciliation, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise reporting platforms.
• Working knowledge of .NET application support, including C#, ASP.NET, IIS, application configuration, deployment validation, and log analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting integrations, APIs, batch processes, file-based interfaces, and upstream/downstream data dependencies.
• Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA), incident management, problem management, and operational support activities.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or similar tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business users and cross-functional teams.

Ramp-Up Skills (Training Provided)

• Exposure to CORIC or other enterprise reporting and distribution platforms.
• Understanding of client reporting and distribution workflows.
• Familiarity with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) processes and related operational activities.

Set Yourself Apart With

• Experience supporting financial services, asset management, capital markets, wealth management, or investment operations platforms.
• Exposure to SimCorp Dimension, Eagle STAR, Charles River, Aladdin, FactSet, or similar financial reporting solutions.
• Experience with SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or enterprise reporting technologies.
• ETL or data integration support experience, including Informatica or comparable technologies.
• Experience working within ITIL-based support organizations.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.

This is a long-term, full-time (Indefinite) contract with a hybrid work model. The role requires availability to work from our offices in Polanco, Mexico City, twice a week, as well as participation in a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
