Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. in Mexico (MEX - Santa Fe) is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll across a portfolio of Latin American markets with increasing independence.

You will validate complex earnings and deductions, coordinate with providers and internal stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements and automation efforts. The role requires 3–5 years of payroll experience in regional or international settings, strong data confidentiality, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in HR, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Typically 3–5 years of payroll experience, ideally regional or international operations.
• Experience with end-to-end payroll delivery and outsourced payroll providers.
• Strong knowledge of payroll operations, controls, tax, and data confidentiality.
• Experience with payroll systems and digital tools such as Workday, ADP, SAP Payroll, ServiceNow.
• Fluent English; additional languages desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end payroll activities for an assigned Latin American portfolio within approved systems and external providers.
• Validate earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, time data, and employee changes; perform reconciliations and year-end support.
• Collaborate with Payroll COE, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve service quality.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate recurring payroll tasks.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and share knowledge with colleagues.
