Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester in JavaScript to join our Mexico team. You will build scalable automated tests using Playwright, validate front-end behavior, and contribute to API testing alongside a global, diverse group of engineers.

You’ll influence testing strategies, mentor peers, and keep pace with new technologies, ensuring high-quality software across international projects. The role offers opportunities for growth within a welcoming, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on professional experience.
• Strong JavaScript for building and sustaining automated test code.
• Experience with Playwright and JS test automation tools.
• Experience with Web Service and API test automation.
• Familiar with version control systems.
• Understanding of test automation framework architecture.
• Experience with BDD frameworks in JS.
• Knowledge of AI tools in testing.
• Strong English communication at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Build durable, scalable automated testing solutions aligned with requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Contribute to testing strategy discussions and architecture decisions.
• Review colleagues' test code and provide constructive feedback.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the testing process.
• Mentor newer team members to grow technical capabilities.
• Participate in planning to outline scope and timelines.
• Stay current with new testing methods and tools.
• Maintain organized records of testing decisions and procedures.
• Work with stakeholders to align finished work with expectations.
