Job summary

EPAM Systems is hiring a Senior Automation Tester specializing in JavaScript to join our quality engineering team. You will help deliver dependable software across complex projects, building reusable automation frameworks and ensuring adherence to acceptance criteria.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in test automation, strong JavaScript skills, Playwright experience, API testing, and familiarity with AI-assisted testing.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of hands-on experience in test automation or software quality.
• Advanced JavaScript skills for writing automated validation scenarios.
• Practical experience with Playwright and JavaScript UI automation tools.
• Understanding API and web service automation techniques.
• Experience with version control workflows for test-code management.
• Strong automation framework design knowledge for scalable test platforms.
• Familiarity with JavaScript BDD tools for scenarios based on user behavior.
• Proficiency in English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Create and evolve reusable automation frameworks aligned with product quality goals.
• Collaborate with product, development, and delivery teams to meet standards.
• Provide QA input in system-design discussions and testing approaches.
• Review automation code and suggest improvements for reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve difficult testing problems across delivery.
• Mentor early-career team members through technical guidance.
• Clarify testing boundaries and contribute realistic effort assessments.
• Explore new tools and industry developments to improve quality activities.
• Document key implementation choices and testing procedures for knowledge sharing.
• Ensure alignment with stakeholders on expected results and acceptance criteria.
