Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Automation Tester in Java to boost quality across the full development lifecycle. You will drive automation initiatives with cross-functional teams, building robust frameworks for REST APIs and UI testing while ensuring reliable delivery.

The role emphasizes strong Java, Selenium, and Cucumber skills, in an Agile environment with DevOps integration and clear defect reporting. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS or similar field.
• At least 3 years in QA with hands-on test automation background.
• REST and SOAP API testing experience, SOAPUI and Groovy scripting.
• Practical experience with Cucumber for BDD testing.
• Strong Java programming skills for automation frameworks.
• Experience with Selenium or similar UI automation tools.
• Hands-on creating/maintaining automation scripts for reliability.
• Experience in Agile environments and CI/CD integration.
• English at B2 level or higher with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases.
• Automate test cases for regression, functional, and smoke tests.
• Plan and execute automation tasks following standards.
• Integrate test cycles with the DevOps pipeline.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Automate testing for REST APIs and front-end components.
• Document and report defects clearly.
• Manage test data and environments for reliable execution.
• Handle test script version control across releases.
