Job summary

EPAM Systems in Mexico seeks a Senior Automation Tester in Java to strengthen QA across the full development lifecycle. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests for backend REST and frontend components, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

You will work with multi-national teams, apply Groovy scripting, Selenium, and Cucumber, and help elevate testing practices while collaborating with DevOps and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a comparable field.
• 3+ years in Quality Assurance with test automation development experience.
• Hands-on REST and SOAP API testing, preferably using SOAPUI and Groovy scripting.
• Experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven testing.
• Strong Java programming for automation frameworks and scripts.
• Practical UI automation with Selenium or equivalent tools.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines in Agile environments.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
• English at B2 level or higher with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft functional, integration, and acceptance test cases.
• Develop automated tests for regression, functional, and smoke testing.
• Plan and execute automation activities and maintain standards.
• Embed test cycles into the DevOps pipeline for CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with efficient approaches.
• Automate testing for REST APIs and front-end components.
• Record and report defects clearly for issue tracking.
• Manage test data and environments for reliable execution.
• Maintain test scripts and version control across releases.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams.
