Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Lead Engineer, Field Service in Reynosa, MX. You will deliver technical field support, perform diagnostics, and gather evidence to enable effective claim handling and root-cause analysis.

In this mid-senior role, you’ll collaborate with multiple teams across Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Claims Handling to ensure safe service execution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related field; equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven field service experience in troubleshooting, application engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, commissioning, or industrial technical support.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics, evidence collection, root-cause analysis, field safety practices, and corrective-action methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite and remote technical investigations by inspecting installations, operating conditions, interfaces, and product performance using approved diagnostic methods.
• Perform authorized troubleshooting, testing, repair, adjustment, commissioning, and temporary restoration activities within established technical and safety guidelines.
• Collect and document reliable field evidence including photographs, measurements, operating data, samples, and technical observations to support investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Customer Claims Handling, and customer teams to support root-cause analysis, escalation management, and field validation activities.
• Prepare timely and accurate technical field reports while maintaining compliance with safety requirements, documentation standards, and service procedures.
