Placements24 seeks a Senior Data Scientist to join its pharma R&D team in Toluca, Mexico, designing advanced statistical models and ML solutions to accelerate drug discovery. Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years as a Data Scientist with a focus on R&D or pharmaceutical applications.
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, ML techniques, and experimental design.
• Experience with large, complex biological/clinical datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced statistical models and ML algorithms for drug discovery and development.
• Analyze large-scale biological, chemical, and clinical datasets to identify patterns and potential targets.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and refine models.
• Collaborate with biologists, chemists, and clinicians to translate research objectives into data-driven solutions.
