Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Regulatory Advisor Manager in Mexico City to lead the customs regulatory strategy, monitor changes, and drive risk mitigation. You will provide advisory support to internal stakeholders and oversee the AEO and CTPAT programs, ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization.

You will coach and develop a high-performing team, coordinate with brokers and business functions, and communicate complex regulatory requirements to influence cross-functional decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international trade, customs, or related field with 6–10 years in import/export.
• Experience managing customs compliance programs, including AEO/CTPAT.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop teams and drive actions.
• Professional working proficiency in English; effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop his/her team members, assigning workload and ensuring skills development.
• Lead the company’s Regulatory program, ensuring adherence to customs and international trade regulations while identifying and mitigating regulatory risks.
• Ensure daily and continuous monitoring of regulatory changes through her/his team and assess their operational and business impact, providing timely guidance and risk-based recommendations to stakeholders.
• Oversee and continuously strengthen along with his/her team the AEO and CTPAT programs, ensuring compliance with certification requirements and implementation of best practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal customers, supporting business initiatives, projects, and defining the customs/foreign trade strategy.
• Ensure that his/her team conduct compliance assessments, internal audits, and risk reviews, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
