Job summary

Nu in Mexico City is seeking a Regulatory Compliance professional to ensure products meet regulatory standards from design to launch. You will translate CNBV, Banxico, and CONDUSEF rules into actionable guidance for product, engineering, and operations teams.

You will monitor regulatory changes, build playbooks, and represent Compliance in cross-functional forums to drive risk-aware decisions and scalable advisory processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance, legal, or risk within financial services in Mexico (banking, fintech, SOFIPO, or regulator).
• Knowledge of Mexico's financial regulatory framework including CNBV, Banxico, CONDUSEF.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to embed Mexican regulatory requirements into new products before they ship.
• Translate CNBV, Banxico, and CONDUSEF regulations into clear, actionable guidance for non-compliance teams.
• Advise fraud, operations, and customer experience teams on regulatory obligations shaping their processes and controls.
• Own the regulatory assessment for assigned areas, identify requirements, flag gaps, and drive resolution with owners.
• Monitor regulatory changes in Mexico and turn new requirements into concrete work.
• Build reusable playbooks and decision frameworks for self-serve regulatory questions.
• Represent Compliance in cross-functional forums and recommend risk decisions.
• Help scale the Compliance function by improving advisory work prioritization and documentation.
