Job summary

Tetakawi in Sonora, Mexico seeks an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller to lead the financial function, drive month-end close, ensure revenue recognition compliance, and manage external audits.

This role requires strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge, experience with SEC reporting, and the ability to present financial data to executive leadership. Fluency in English is a plus; bilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role.
• Advanced English proficiency / bilingual.
• Experience managing month-end close procedures, revenue recognition accounting (ASC 606, 605), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) compliance.
• Experience in SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) reporting, including coordinating the filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, or 6-K.
• Strong proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS.
• Extensive experience presenting complex financial data and variance reports to executive leadership.
• Proven track record in managing external audits and vendor relationships.
