Job summary

Takeda in Mexico City seeks an Assistant Controller for the LATAM cluster. You will support month-, quarter-, and year-end closes, prepare IFRS and local GAAP financial statements, and coordinate audits.

You will work with cross-functional teams including tax, treasury, transfer pricing and FP&A to resolve issues and drive automation. You must have 5+ years in controllership or related roles, proficiency in SAP/Blackline/HFM, and fluent English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• At least 5 years experience in controllership, accounting, audit or record-to-report.
• Hands-on close experience across multiple entities and statutory financial statements.
• Experience with SAP, Blackline, HFM or similar tools.
• Fluent English and Spanish; ACCA/CIMA/CPA or similar qualification preferred; Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close process.
• Prepare balance sheet reviews, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Coordinate IFRS and local GAAP financial statements and tax reporting.
• Coordinate external, internal, SOX and tax audits and internal controls.
• Drive process improvement, automation and AI-enabled controls.
• Act as main liaison between markets and Global Finance CoE and collaborate with tax, treasury, FP&A and business teams.
