Job summary

AIG Mexico is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the Mexico legal entities' close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, and audit coordination. The role partners with the FC and LT to ensure timely, accurate financial deliverables and adherence to internal controls and SOX requirements.

Ideal candidates will have post-qualification accounting leadership experience, knowledge of US GAAP and Local GAAP, and exposure to shared services environments.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification accounting experience in an accounting manager role.
• Experience with US GAAP and Local GAAP.
• Insurance industry experience is an asset.
• Experience with shared services centers and SOX controls.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee period-end close and financial reporting for Mexico entities in US GAAP and Local GAAP.
• Coordinate statutory reporting and external audits; support local and regional controllers.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities and KPI dashboards.
• Ensure internal controls are designed and operating effectively; coordinate SOX work.
• Collaborate with FC and LT to maintain business knowledge reflected in financial deliverables.
