AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain the application services and REST APIs for a data analytics platform, integrating YouTube Creator APIs and Google Trends at the application layer. You will develop Python services using FastAPI and SQLAlchemy with rigorous static typing, and join a team that values thoughtful architecture and code quality.

You will work on containerized Python services on EKS, implement Auth0/OpenFGA RBAC, and collaborate with a data engineer

Formación

• 5–7 years of backend software development experience
• Strong Python proficiency — FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and modern tooling with static typing
• Experienced designing and building REST APIs
• Experience integrating third-party APIs from heterogeneous sources
• Solid PostgreSQL and migrations experience
• Background task processing with Celery/Redis/RQ
• Containerized deployment with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
• Familiarity with object-storage data lakes and serverless query engines (S3/Glue/Athena)
• Calling LLM APIs from application code
• Mac/Linux terminal environment (bash) and tooling
• AI-assisted development tools with critical judgment
• Strong soft skills to defend technical decisions

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs consumed by the front-end
• Integrate third-party sources (YouTube/Google Trends/MMM Data Hub) at the application layer
• Develop containerized Python services and background workers on EKS
• Develop AWS serverless components (Lambda/Step Functions/Beanstalk)
• Implement authentication/authorization with Auth0 and OpenFGA RBAC
• Collaborate with data engineer on S3/Glue/Athena and Bedrock-based scoring
• Leverage Claude on AWS Bedrock and evaluate AI outputs
• Engage with engineers on functional and non-functional requirements
• Daily collaboration via Slack and Google Meet
