AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services and REST APIs that surface creator insights and AI-generated scores. You will work with Python (FastAPI/SQLAlchemy), Celery/Redis, and run on EKS, integrating YouTube and Google Trends data, with Auth0 and OpenFGA for auth.

You’ll collaborate closely with a data engineer on S3/Glue/Athena pipelines and Bedrock-based scoring, while ensuring scalable and secure services in a remote-capable environment.

Formación

• 5–7 years of backend software development experience with production services.
• Strong Python proficiency with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy and static typing.
• Experience designing REST APIs with versioning and error semantics.
• Experience integrating third‑party APIs and heterogeneous data sources.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL) and migrations knowledge.
• Experience with asynchronous processing (Celery/Redis).
• Containerized deployment (Docker) and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Familiarity with data lake storage and serverless query engines (S3/Glue/Athena).
• Ability to call LLM APIs and reason about AI outputs.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Integrate third‑party/internal data sources and manage auth and rate limits.
• Build containerized Python services and background workers on EKS.
• Develop AWS serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions) as needed.
• Implement authentication and authorization flows (Auth0, OpenFGA).
• Collaborate with data engineer on S3/Glue/Athena workflow and Bedrock-based scoring.
• Evaluate AI outputs critically and iterate on AI-assisted implementations.
• Work daily with engineers via Slack/Meet.
