AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services and REST APIs for a data analytics platform, integrating YouTube Creator APIs, Google Trends, and AWS services. You will develop Python services with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy, deploy on EKS, implement Auth0 and OpenFGA, and collaborate with data engineers on S3/Glue/Athena pipelines and Bedrock-based scoring.

Formación

• 5–7 years of backend software development experience.
• Strong Python proficiency — FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and modern tooling (uv) with static typing.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building REST APIs consumed by a front-end, including versioning, contracts, and error semantics.
• Solid experience integrating third-party APIs and reconciling data from heterogeneous sources.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and database migrations.
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous/background task processing (Celery, Redis) and Redis.
• Comfortable with containerized deployment (Docker) and working against Kubernetes/EKS.
• Enough familiarity with object-storage-backed data lakes and serverless query engines (S3/Glue/Athena).
• Comfortable calling LLM APIs from application code and reasoning about AWS Bedrock constraints.
• High comfort level in Mac/Linux terminal environments (Bash, Makefiles).
• Practical, hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools with strong judgment to ensure maintainability.
• Strong soft skills and ability to defend a technical opinion.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Integrate third-party/internal data sources and manage auth.
• Develop containerized Python services on EKS.
• Work with AWS Serverless: Lambda and Step Functions.
• Implement authentication and authorization (Auth0, OpenFGA).
• Collaborate on S3/Glue/Athena pipeline and Bedrock-based scoring layer.
• Utilize Bedrock for AI-assisted implementation while ensuring quality.
• Evaluate AI outputs and ensure long-term maintainability.
• Coordinate daily with engineers via Slack/Meet on requirements and timelines.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and ensure scalable solutions.
