Job summary

Meltwater Group in Mexico City is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to build and scale production-grade services. You will tackle performance bottlenecks, reduce technical debt, and improve observability while coordinating with product, frontend, and UX teams. For senior Level 4, lead end-to-end backend initiatives and mentor others.

This role offers hybrid work, a strong culture, and opportunities to work with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AI-powered tooling to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services in production.
• Experience with high-traffic systems.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs; GraphQL a plus.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest/Jasmine).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Experience monitoring and operating production systems.
