Mastercard in Mexico is seeking a Manager, Software Development to lead backend engineering teams. You will drive delivery, security, and reliability of Java-based microservices and RESTful APIs, partnering with Architecture, PM, Quality, Security and Operations.

You will mentor engineers, ensure CI/CD, observability, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, while aligning with roadmaps and KPIs to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience leading backend engineering teams delivering high-scale distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, and enterprise Java ecosystem.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage backend engineering teams building Java 17 / Spring Boot-based microservices and APIs.
• Translate architectural and platform roadmaps into executable engineering plans.
• Drive end-to-end backend delivery across the SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Oversee design and development of RESTful APIs, event-driven services (Kafka), and distributed system components.
• Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality tooling, and DevOps practices.
