BlackLine, a leading finance automation platform, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer in Mexico City to design, develop and operate distributed backend services.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver features, ensure performance, security and quality, and mentor junior engineers in an agile, outcomes-driven environment. You will work with GCP, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines to build scalable solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of industry experience designing and operating distributed systems or high-availability production systems.
• Experience designing and building microservices architectures, including RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages: .NET (C#), Java, or Python.
• Deep understanding of event-driven design and DDD.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services and Terraform as IaC.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
• Knowledge of secure coding, performance optimization, and system resiliency.
• Strong automated testing culture; TDD/BDD is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants in day-to-day workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and deliver product features, while adhering to timelines and quality standards.
• Implement and enforce software development techniques for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team through best practices and clean code.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide them to solutions.
• Identify issues and opportunities and advocate for change across peers and leadership.
• Perform maintenance, deployment and release support, including off-hours as needed.
• Collaborate across teams and stay adaptable to deliver value.
