Bluelight is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Architect to join its expanding team. You will design and lead low-latency, cloud-native architectures across AWS, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, and RESTful services, aligning with client requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of software development with 3+ years in architecture, strong leadership, and a passion for scalable, secure, multi-tenant solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with 3+ years in architecture.
• Design low-latency service architectures in AWS with distributed components.
• Experience with latency budgets (p95/p99) and durable commits.
• Audit/evidence systems: append-only logs and versioned models.
• Secure multi-tenant architecture and RLS considerations.
• RESTful APIs design and SDK integrations.
• Lead, mentor, and document architecture decisions with ADRs.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end large-scale systems.
• Review architecture with clients and security teams.
• Mentor engineers and conduct architecture/code reviews.
• Produce architecture diagrams and ADRs.
