Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Application Engineer in Villahermosa to support sales with product applications and drive field execution from pre-planning to post-job analysis. You will coordinate with Service Delivery, Sales and other teams to implement area-specific product strategies, assess risks, provide technical guidance, and deliver customer-focused presentations.

Travel to job sites may be required. The role emphasizes collaboration, hazard analysis, and continuous improvement of drilling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills.
• Ability to develop, coach and mentor teams across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to be on call outside of normal business hours.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have the ability to travel (typically travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Under broad direction provides highly skilled level sales support and product application recommendations on drill bit product line(s).
• Responsible for providing sales support and product application recommendations.
• Coordinates to implement area specific product strategies and best practices.
• Provides technical guidance and presentations to customers relating to product performance and new drill bit technology.
• Will investigate unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative actions.
• Performs customer technical presentations.
• Provides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues.
• Handles special projects, as assigned.
