Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Application Engineer in Villahermosa to support sales with product applications and drive field execution from pre-planning to post-job analysis. You will coordinate with Service Delivery, Sales and other teams to implement area-specific product strategies, assess risks, provide technical guidance, and deliver customer-focused presentations.

Travel to job sites may be required. The role emphasizes collaboration, hazard analysis, and continuous improvement of drilling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent leadership, strong interpersonal, influencing and planning skills.
• Ability to develop, coach and mentor teams across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to be on call outside of normal business hours.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have the ability to travel (typically travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, etc.)

Partner with the best As an Application Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring Baker Hughes can deliver flawless execution through involvement in pre-planning, job execution, and post-job analysis. This position delivers a technical job program that maximizes our opportunity to meet the job objectives in line with the contract terms and conditions. This position works seamlessly together with the Service Delivery Coordinators, Sales and other resources across organizational boundaries to ensure all aspects and constraints of the application are understood and have been considered.

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing sales support and product application recommendations
• Coordinating to implement area specific product strategies and best practices
• Working with the Service Delivery Coordinator/ Service Delivery Manager/Sales Specialist to ensure any risk of meeting the client's objective is communicated to the client using the appropriate channels/processes for the respective client
• Performing offset well/similar job analysis to understand application hazards and incident potential
• Providing technical guidance and presentations to customers relating to product performance and new drill bit technology
• Comparing job as-planned versus job as-executed and document any lessons learned to ensure opportunity for continuous improvement
• Investigating unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative actions
• Performing customer technical presentations.
• Provides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues
• Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the Drilling Services tool(s) and/or service(s).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent customer awareness.
• Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, be a strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.
• Under minimal supervision provides direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day-to-day work and activities.
• Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements.
