Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels And Resorts in Mexico is seeking a Gym Coordinator to deliver exceptional fitness and wellness experiences for resort guests. You will assist with fitness activities, classes, training sessions, inductions, and daily gym operations in a safe, welcoming, and pristine environment.

You will engage guests, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute to a world-class luxury resort experience through strong English communication, attention to detail, and proactive teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in fitness facility, hotel, spa, or similar environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of fitness, wellness, and nutrition best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for guest service.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests.
• Proficiency in English, including strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Book4Time or a similar operating system is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced Resort environment.
• A positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach with a passion for health, fitness, and guest well-being.

Responsibilities

• Support guests in all aspects of fitness and well-being, including fitness classes, training sessions, inductions, and general gym activities.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the Resort’s daily events, VIP guests, in-house groups, guest offerings, and amenities to provide knowledgeable and personalized assistance.
• Ensure guests understand and follow safety procedures related to the use of Fitness Center equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with the Gym Coordinator and Fitness team to develop and promote the daily “WOD – Workout of the Day.”
• Prepare, set up, and break down fitness amenities and equipment in all designated areas of the Fitness Center at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Monitor the Fitness Center to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all guests.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the Fitness Center to the highest Resort standards.
• Respond to guest questions and requests with professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to personalized service.
