AgileEngine is seeking a Full Stack Tech Lead to guide a squad and build backend services with Java and Spring Boot, supported by an Angular frontend. You will mentor juniors, shape architecture, and lead the transition toward domain-driven design.

The role emphasizes leadership, backend-heavy work, and delivering robust RESTful APIs while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Remote-friendly with flexible scheduling and competitive USD-based compensation.

Qualifications

• Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Squad Lead, with ability to motivate teams.
• Core Stack: Java (Spring Boot) and Angular, with 6+ years experience.
• Streaming & Messaging: Hands-on with Kafka.
• Design Fundamentals: Strong OOA/OOD, patterns, and architecture awareness.
• Domain-Driven Design: Deep understanding of bounded contexts and DDD.
• API Knowledge: Deep experience building RESTful services and APIs.
• Database Skills: Relational DBs incl. PostgreSQL and Oracle; JPA/Hibernate.
• Backend-Heavy Mindset: Passion for server-side logic and performance.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Act as Squad Lead and drive the team to deliver high-quality software.
• Core Development: Design and implement backend services with Java/Spring Boot.
• Frontend Integration: Build and maintain Angular frontend to align with backend.
• Modernizing Architecture: Move towards domain-driven design with bounded contexts.
• API Excellence: Architect clean, scalable RESTful APIs over RPC.
• Team Mentorship: Guide juniors, promote Agile practices, and grow the team.
