Job summary

HeadQuarters is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our global team. This role focuses on accounts payable management, payroll processing, and month-end close with cross-functional collaboration across HR, procurement, and operations.

The position operates in a fully remote setting, offering growth opportunities within the expanding cannabis industry. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years in accounting with emphasis on accounts payable, payroll, and month-end close.
• Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP and payroll platforms.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Management: review invoices and approvals to ensure timely payments.
• Payroll Processing: record and reconcile payroll transactions for employees and contractors.
• Expense & Accrual Accounting: manage PTO, bonuses, contractor expenses, and accruals.
• Month-End Close, Reconciliations & Flux Analysis: perform reconciliations and explain variances.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with HR, Procurement, and Operations for accurate reporting.
• Process Improvement: identify and implement automation to improve efficiency.
