Job summary

OpsArmy is seeking a Senior Accountant to own end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of clients, with hands-on QBO, inventory/cost, and e-commerce/CPG know-how. This fully remote role demands precise month-end close and timely financial reporting.

You will collaborate with Controllers and Staff Accountants, manage deadlines, respond to client inquiries, and ensure accuracy across AP, AR, payroll-related tasks, and financial deliverables.

Qualifications

• Hands-on QBO proficiency for daily accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Inventory and cost accounting experience across multiple clients.
• Strong transactional accounting capabilities and accurate financial recording.
• Expertise in accounting for e-commerce or CPG businesses.
• Experience owning or supporting month-end close processes.
• Attention to detail to maintain accurate financial records.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and escalate issues.
• Effective written and verbal client communication.
• Excellent organization and time management to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month-end close for an assigned client portfolio, including AP/AR and payroll tasks.
• Manage specific close tasks to ensure timely, accurate completion.
• Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions accurately.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting, with accurate reporting.
• Apply e‑commerce/CPG accounting methods to inventory and costs.
• Prepare and support client accounting reports and deliverables.
• Respond to client inquiries and follow up on outstanding items.
• Gather missing documentation to support timely accounting.
