Job summary

Hire Overseas is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the full accounting function for a fast-scaling premium food brand. You will take over day-to-day accounting from an outside firm, run the monthly close end to end, manage the general ledger, and lead the deduction and chargeback recovery. This is a cloud-native, AI-forward role with US GAAP focus and remote work. You will be paid in USD bi-monthly and have PTO and holidays per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience including monthly close and financial statements.
• Experience with US GAAP and US-based companies preferred.
• Cloud-native and tech-savvy with dashboards, tool integration, and AI-first workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function, month-end close, and GL.
• Manage AP/AR, reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany entries.
• Prepare audit-ready financial statements and support external auditors and tax preparers.
• Lead deductions and chargebacks with distributors and retailers.
