Job summary

Volcanix Automation is seeking an HR Generalist to support our growing North American operations in a flexible, remote role. You will handle employee lifecycle management, HR administration, immigration, benefits and compensation, and various HR initiatives across Canada and the USA.

The role requires five years of HR experience, a relevant degree, and strong English and Spanish language skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to improved employee relations and HR

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive, hands-on HR experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Postgraduate certificate in Human Resources Management.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, and HR compliance requirements.
• Experience with work visas and immigration.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while providing responsive support.

Responsibilities

• Draft and maintain employment agreements, amendments, HR letters, policies, templates, and other employee documentation.
• Coordinate U.S. and Canadian immigration matters with employees, managers, and external counsel.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors.
• Maintain employee records in BambooHR and other HR systems.
• Assist with benefits, leave, and compensation processes.
• Provide guidance on day-to-day HR matters and employee relations.
• Coordinate background checks and pre-employment requirements for new hires.
• Prepare HR reports and data for management decision-making.
• Support HR communications and employee engagement initiatives.
• Back up payroll and benefits administration as needed.
