Job summary

briefCASE Legal Support, LLC seeks an experienced Case Manager to lead a team of Legal Assistants supporting DJC Law, PLLC, a Texas-based personal injury firm. You will oversee case workflows, ensure accuracy, coach staff, and maintain high standards of client service.

In this remote, full-time role you will collaborate with U.S.-based attorneys, drive process improvements, monitor KPIs, and help cases progress toward milestones while balancing priorities and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• At least five years of Legal Assistant or comparable legal support experience.
• Two to three years of supervisory or team management experience.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and case management.
• Experience with Filevine and other case management platforms.
• Experience supporting a U.S.-based personal injury law firm.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support Legal Assistants through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Monitor case progress, assign tasks by workload and priorities, and review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm procedures.
• Oversee pre-litigation and litigation workflows, assist with case preparation, and help ensure matters progress toward key milestones and resolution.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate team performance, address performance concerns, and promote accountability.
• Coordinate with attorneys and team members to address case needs, resolve issues, and maintain high standards of client service.
• Identify workflow improvements, promote consistent procedures, and assist with resource planning and other departmental needs.
