Peek Travel Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our remote-first team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Elixir development, experience with GraphQL APIs, MySQL, and RabbitMQ, and will own critical product areas, delivering scalable and reliable backend services.

You’ll work on AI-first approaches, design agent orchestration patterns, and ship features through agent-assisted development in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional development using Elixir and/or Ruby.
• Strong coding practices including peer code reviews and unit testing.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases.
• Advanced understanding of AI tools and how to guide AI-generated code.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and production troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Own critical backend product areas and improve performance, security, and reliability.
• Design and operate AI-first agent orchestration and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to meet customer needs.
• Ship features through agent-assisted development in production.
• Mentor peers and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
