Bluelight LLC is seeking a senior backend developer to design, build, and maintain high-performance services using Elixir and the Phoenix framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable architectures and APIs.

The role focuses on OTP-based distributed systems, RESTful APIs with PostgreSQL (Ecto), and delivering robust, fault-tolerant software in a fast-paced consultancy environment. Remote-friendly with flexible hours.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional backend software development.
• Strong Elixir & Phoenix experience.
• Proficiency with OTP and distributed systems.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL (Ecto).
• Passion for building reliable, scalable systems and good teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Elixir/Phoenix.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable services.
• Own features from concept to launch, including technical specs and release processes.
• Write unit & integration tests; participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Stay up-to-date with Elixir ecosystem and industry best practices.
