Vivant is a U.S.-based MSP expanding its remote team and seeking an Accounting Officer to support billing, collections, AP, and financial reporting. The role collaborates with U.S.-based clients, vendors, and internal teams in a fast-paced, remote setting.

The position requires a solid accounting foundation, strong communication skills, and independence to work with distributed teams while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This is a 100% remote role with a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting, billing, AR/AP, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting-related inquiries from stakeholders via email and phone.
• Review projects and work orders to bill clients accurately for services.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Review vendor invoices and process accounts payable on time.
• Coordinate with vendors on payment inquiries and billing discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain GL, and perform reconciliations.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify billing accuracy and integrity.
• Create SOPs and training materials; identify automation opportunities.
