Autoliv Mexico is seeking an experienced Record-to-Report Advanced Specialist to oversee the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, capitalization, depreciation, transfers and disposals, ensuring policy compliance and strong internal controls.

You will support month-end close, monitor CAPEX investments and maintain asset records and related balance sheet accounts, while driving process improvements and team development in a global setting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of RTR/General Accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS; journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, BlackLine, OneStream; ERP systems such as JD Edwards or Oracle.
• Advanced business-level English; knowledge of SOX and internal controls.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle: asset creation, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
• Oversee CAPEX activities by monitoring capital projects, WIP, and capitalization accuracy.
• Ensure timely reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close for fixed assets.
• Maintain internal controls, support audits, resolve asset discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
• Lead and develop the team, maintain Master Data Management (MDM) updates for asset records.

In this role you will beresponsible for overseeing the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals, while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. You will maintain the accuracy and integrity of fixed asset records and related balance sheet accounts, support month-end and year-end close activities, and monitor CAPEX investments to ensure proper tracking, capitalization, financial reporting, and control.

Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

• Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle, including asset creation, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.

• Oversee CAPEX activities by monitoring capital projects, tracking work-in-progress (WIP), and ensuring accurate capitalization.

• Ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities related to fixed assets.

• Maintain strong internal controls, support audits, resolve asset discrepancies, and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

• Lead and develop the team while ensuring accurate and timely Master Data Management (MDM) database updates and asset record maintenance.

If you have/are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR), General Accounting, or a similar finance/accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, with hands-on experience in journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, BlackLine, OneStream, and ERP systems such as JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Advanced business-level English communication skills, along with a solid understanding of SOX requirements, internal controls, and financial reporting best practices.
