Job summary

ABB in Juárez is seeking a Quality Specialist to support the deployment of the local quality strategy, focusing on prevention, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and sustainable solutions to meet customer expectations.

You will lead resource allocation, planning testing, scheduling, equipment improvements, and cross‑functional collaboration with HR, operations, and quality teams to drive world‑class quality and safe, reliable products.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in similar roles (Electrification/quality focus preferred).
• Strong written and spoken communication; leadership of blue-collar teams.

You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Juarez.You will be mainly accountable for:Resource allocation: Organizes and allocates resources to effectively and efficiently meet inspection rate targets. Responds to resource issues as necessary. Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the testing area.Production scheduling and testing plan: Executes testing plan accordingly to production plan to meet the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan.Equipment and facilities: Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.Testing execution: Ensures execution of quality testing of equipment, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned complexity of the product.Operations improvement: Identifies deficiencies in testing process efficiency, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve testing performance.Critical line issues: Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams /respective quality specialist.People leadership and development: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.HSE and Quality Focus: Works with the quality and HSE team to ensure compliance of the hourly employees to the quality and safety criteria defined for the product.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic team, where you will be able to thrive.Qualifications for the role:A Bachelor's degree. (+20)Be able of develop the analysis of the issues detected during the assembly process in order to ensure the high quality of the product.
