ABB in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico seeks a durable Quality leader for the factory, accountable for overall quality performance, supplier quality, and compliance with ISO9001.

You will lead teams in cycle count, quality systems, and continuous improvement using problem solving tools; English and Spanish communication required. This role offers a generous benefits package and opportunities to drive impact in a global manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Strong problem solving and continuous improvement skills in metal-mechanic/electric motor environments.
• 8+ years of experience in quality-related roles.
• Good knowledge of SAP or similar ERP and document management systems (Compliant Pro).
• Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Experience in customer management under pressure.
• Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or similar field.

Responsabilidades

• Own the overall quality performance of the factory and drive improvements.
• Monitor and improve key indicators: scrap, warranty, and FPY.
• Manage supplier quality performance and quality systems compliance (ISO 9001).
• Lead cross-functional teams: cycle count, supplier quality, and production quality.
• Promote Supplier development and continuous improvement across the supplier base.
• Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to address product/process quality issues promptly.

This Position Reports To

Manufacturing Unit Manager

Work model for the role is: .

This role is contributing to the NEMA Motors division factory success in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Overall Quality performance in the factory.
• Monitor and improve key indicators including scrap, warranty and FPY.
• Responsible for the supplier quality performance.
• Manage the quality management systems of the factory in accordance with ABB's procedures.
• Ensure the compliance with the management system including ISO9001.
• Leading in promptly addressing issues related to products, processes and suppliers quality, demonstrating a good knowledge in problem solving tools.
• Ensuring required supplier development processes are thoroughly executed to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base.
• Handle the cycle count team, supplier quality team and production quality team.

Qualifications For The Role

• You enjoy working with problem solving and continues improvement methods in the metal-mechanic industry, electric motor industry preferably.
• You have more than 8 years of experience in quality related activities.
• Possess a good knowledge of SAP or similar ERPs, document management systems such as Compliant Pro.
• Good communication skills, including verbal and written.
• Customer management under high pressure environments.
• You are at ease communicating in English and Spanish.
• You hold current degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or similar fields.
