ABB in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico is seeking a Quality Specialist to support deployment of the quality strategy for a local unit. You will lead resource planning, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements to ensure customer satisfaction and sustainable operations.

You will collaborate with HR, quality, and HSE teams to ensure proper staffing, training, and adherence to quality criteria. A background in engineering and manufacturing leadership is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electrical automation or related field.
• 4+ years as production supervisor in manufacturing.
• Experience in team development and production line assignment.
• Willingness to work Fri–Sun 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00) and rest Mon–Thu.
• Good English skills (intermediate).

Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.You will be mainly accountable for:Organizes and allocates resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets. Responds to resource issues as necessary. Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line.Ensures execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines. Monitors daily operational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implements corrective actions when required.Identifies deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve production performance.Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.Works with the quality and HSE team to ensure compliance of the hourly employees to the quality and safety criteria defined for the product.Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electrical automation engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment.Experience in team development and production line assignment.Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) & Resting from Monday to Thursday.Experience working in electrical companies is a plus.Experience in people management, conflict resolution, and development plans.Continuous improvement tools knowledge are a plus (Green Belt certification is a plus).Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Power BI is a plus.Experience leading a medium-sized team (20+ people) is a plus.Intermediate English.Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
