ABB in Mexico is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to optimize assembly methods, processes, and equipment, reducing labor hours while meeting quality, cost, and safety targets. The role requires defining work phases for new production processes to achieve cost and equipment investment goals.

On-site work model and strong cross-functional collaboration are expected. You will identify improvement opportunities, approve internal/external process designs, and support start-ups with training

Formación

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years in manufacturing industries with CNC machining experience.
• Experience with SAP/ERP, Office suite, and CAD tools like AutoCAD or Solid is preferred.
• Green belt certification and ISO 9001 internal auditor is valued.
• Strong Spanish communication; English fluency is beneficial.

Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the MXNEM ABB Nema Motors S.A. de C.V.You will be mainly accountable for:Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.You will join a dynamic, versatile, experienced and inclusive team, where you will be able to thrive.Qualifications for the roleDegree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical, Have a demonstrated track record of 5 years in manufacturers business. Technical careers or not finished with extensive knowledge of +4 years.Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing companies (preferably metalworking/mechanical, electrical, or electronic industries), including CNC machining processes and conventional machine tools (lathes, milling machines, machining centers, drill presses, etc.).Basic knowledge on Grey iron casting process and pattern´s design.You have worked constantly with SAP or ERP software, Office package and CAD design (Auto CAD or Solid preferred).Green belt certification and/or ISO 9001 internal auditor is high valued.You are at ease communicating in verbal and writing on Spanish-language.
