ABB in Mexico is seeking a Quality Control Specialist in San Luis Potosí to help the local unit build capabilities for controlling products and systems, ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements in a cost-effective, safe environment.

You will participate in developing and implementing standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to customers.

Formación

• Engineering degree or technical certification in electrical/electro-mechanical fields.
• 1+ year experience in electrical testing and relay/PLC setting.
• Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (8D, RCA, Ishikawa).
• Basic knowledge of electrical safety.
• Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Run test protocols to verify products, systems, or software meet requirements.
• Support supplier, production, testing, validation, and engineering quality needs.
• Assist quality-related training and promote quality and integrity.
• Collect and evaluate data per ABB specs and applicable standards.

This position reports to:

Quality Control Specialist

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist local unit in developing the necessary capabilities to effectively control products and systems. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only compliant products, software, and services are released to the customer.

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Conducting test protocols, as assigned, to ensure products, systems, or software meet specified requirements and customer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs, or final inspection quality, including internal testing routine and Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) as applicable.
• Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, and engineering, as applicable in the local organization.
• Executing and assisting specific quality-related training, promoting a passion for quality and integrity in all actions, with a focus on result orientation.
• Collecting, recording, and evaluating data to be interpreted according to the internal ABB specifications, customer norms, and applicable national and/or global standards while maintaining a high level of integrity

Qualifications for the role:

• Technical Career Certificate or Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electro-mechanical, Control Automation, Electronic or mechatronic Engineering required
• 1+ Year experience in Electrical testing and Setting of relays or PLC
• Lean Manufacturing tools basic knowledge (8Ds, RCA, Ishikawa)
• Electric Safety basic knowledge
• Mid-Advanced english
