Autoliv is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams for automotive programs in Querétaro. You will apply Autoliv development, validation, and CCB processes, ensuring on-time, within-budget launches with seamless internal and supplier coordination.

You will interface with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and program management while engaging with Asian customers. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and bilingual capabilities (English/Japanese) are

• Minimum 6 years of experience in similar roles.
• Robust engineering, project management, and automotive launch experience.
• Experience with commodities and automotive industry.
• Advanced English and Japanese; experience interfacing with Asian customers.

Responsabilidades

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute Autoliv projects using development, validation, and CCB processes.
• Drive accountability within project teams to achieve goals and ensure milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management, and suppliers for flawless launches.
• Lead global project teams to promote collaboration and positive results for Autoliv.
• Manage project budgets and financial performance, including ECAN budgets and EBIT uplift.
• Oversee communication with Autoliv project members and Mexican facilities.
• Act as the primary customer contact for project topics and meetings.
• Conduct project and technical meetings in Japanese with customers and global teams.
• Support business unit and product line strategies using technology and best practices.
• Coordinate project execution with Change Management Standard to meet milestones.
• Develop and monitor detailed timelines using PWA/Open Project.
• Provide support to customer engineering and manufacturing plants as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Lead cross-functional teams in the successful execution of Autoliv projects by applying Autoliv development, validation, and CCB processes.
• Drive cross-functional accountability within project teams to ensure achievement of project goals.
• Serve as a cross-functional team leader, supporting all internal departments including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management, and suppliers to ensure a flawless program launch.
• Effectively lead global project teams to promote productive collaboration and deliver positive results for Autoliv.
• Manage project budgets and financial performance, including engineering income, ECAN budgets, and EBIT uplift activities, while ensuring adherence to schedule and deliverables.
• Oversee direct communication and coordination with Autoliv project members and manufacturing facilities in Mexico.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding all project‑related topics.
• Conduct project and technical meetings in Japanese with customers and global teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and efficient issue resolution.
• Support Business Unit and product line strategies by leveraging technology, methodologies, and best practices to strengthen product performance and differentiation.
• Coordinate project execution in alignment with the Autoliv Change Management Standard to meet all internal and customer milestones.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project timelines using PWA/Open Project.
• Provide support to customer engineering and manufacturing plants as needed.

What Is Required

• Minimum 6 years of experience in similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related.
• Robust engineering, project management, and automotive launch experience.
• Experience in commodities and previous automotive industry experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, negotiation abilities, and disciplined, organized work approach.
• Advanced English and Japanese, with experience interfacing with Asian customers.
• Experience with Asian customers
• Experience using Microsoft Project; customer portals knowledge is a plus.
