Descripción de la vacante

Autoliv Mexico seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the successful execution of automotive projects. You will drive accountability across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and program management, ensuring flawless launches and timely milestones.

Must manage budgets, coordinate with customers, and lead meetings in English and Japanese with Asian customers. Advanced English and Japanese are required; remote-friendly options exist.

Formación

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Robust engineering, project management, and automotive launch experience.
  • Experience in commodities and automotive industry exposure.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and disciplined work approach.
  • Advanced English and Japanese, with experience interfacing with Asian customers.
  • Experience working with Asian customers

Responsabilidades

  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully execute Autoliv projects using development, validation, and Change Control processes.
  • Drive cross-functional accountability to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management, and suppliers for a flawless program launch.
  • Lead global project teams to promote collaboration and positive results.
  • Manage project budgets and financial performance, including EBIT uplift activities and adherence to schedules.
  • Oversee communication with Autoliv project members and Mexican manufacturing facilities.
  • Act as primary contact for customers regarding project topics.
  • Conduct project and technical meetings in Japanese with customers and global teams.
  • Support business unit strategies by leveraging technology and best practices.
  • Coordinate project execution per Change Management standards to meet milestones.
  • Develop and monitor detailed project timelines using PWA/Open Project.
  • Provide support to customer engineering and manufacturing plants as needed.

Descripción del empleo

What you'll do:
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the successful execution of Autoliv projects by applying Autoliv development, validation, and CCB processes.

  • Drive cross-functional accountability within project teams to ensure achievement of project goals.

  • Serve as a cross-functional team leader, supporting all internal departments including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management, and suppliers to ensure a flawless program launch.

  • Effectively lead global project teams to promote productive collaboration and deliver positive results for Autoliv.

  • Manage project budgets and financial performance, including engineering income, ECAN budgets, and EBIT uplift activities, while ensuring adherence to schedule and deliverables.

  • Oversee direct communication and coordination with Autoliv project members and manufacturing facilities in Mexico.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding all project-related topics.

  • Conduct project and technical meetings inJapanesewith customers and global teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and efficient issue resolution.

  • Support Business Unit and product line strategies by leveraging technology, methodologies, and best practices to strengthen product performance and differentiation.

  • Coordinate project execution in alignment with the Autoliv Change Management Standard to meet all internal and customer milestones.

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project timelines using PWA/Open Project.

  • Provide support to customer engineering and manufacturing plants as needed.

What is required:
  • Minimum6 years of experiencein similar roles.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related.

  • Robust engineering, project management, and automotive launch experience.

  • Experience incommoditiesand previousautomotive industryexperience.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, negotiation abilities, and disciplined, organized work approach.

  • Advanced English andJapanese, with experience interfacing with Asian customers.

  • Experience withAsian customers

  • Experience usingMicrosoft Project; customer portals knowledge is a plus.
