Autoliv Mexico seeks an Application Engineer to support multiple seatbelt projects, develop and validate products, and collaborate with OEMs and internal teams.
You will work with CAD/GD&T methods, CAE results, and manufacturing processes to ensure design integrity and on-time program milestones. Strong English and automotive experience are required for regional teamwork across Mexico and the US.

In this role you will beresponsible for providing support to multiple projects, customer and development related for seatbelt product line, Development and validation of seatbelt products. Lead, execute and support various project activities during technical phases of awarded programs. This will require collaboration with all CFT team members (mostly divisional and occasionally global), interface with OEM’s, internal supporting groups, manufacturing facilities, and suppliers.

Design and validate seatbelt products and components to ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and Autoliv engineering specifications.
Collaborate directly with customers to balance styling expectations with Autoliv’s standard design practices, manufacturing capabilities, and cost objectives.
Coordinate with global engineering teams to support the localization, validation, and successful launch of global programs.
Analyze customer specifications and translate technical requirements into robust product designs, ensuring all validation activities are completed according to program timelines.
Drive product development activities to achieve RightFirstTime(1P1P) objectives by optimizing design quality, manufacturability, performance, and customer satisfaction.
If you have/are:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical,Engineering,Mechatronics,Engineering,Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
AdvancedEnglishproficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills; willingness to support regional teams across Mexico and the United States.
Experience in seatbelt/restraintsystemsproductdesignproductengineeringinteriorClassAcomponentsandtrimdevelopment within the automotive industry.
Proficiency in CADdesign, GD&T application, tolerance stack‑up analysis, and interpretation of CAE results to support product development and validation activities.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including diecasting,RIM,injectionmolding,stamping,andassembly operations, combined with hands‑on problem‑solving, product teardown analysis, and a commitment to long‑term professional development.
