Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. in Mexicali, Mexico is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and sustain methods, tools, and processes for electronic parts, subassemblies and final assemblies.

You will interface with Design, Test, and Reliability to ensure successful product launches and to drive cost reduction and yield improvements. The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, line balancing, PFMEA/Control Plans, and Six Sigma-based improvements, with cross‑functional teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Experience in Electronic Industry and electronics manufacturing.
• Desirable: 3+ years in design/development team and/or manufacturing support.
• Six Sigma or equivalent statistical methodology.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Manufacturing tools (SMED, one piece flow, manufacturing cells).
• Balance manufacturing lines and cells to TAKT time.
• Drive continuous quality improvements and elimination of non-value added activities.
• Active participation in improvements of manufacturing metrics.
• Identify and develop projects using Six Sigma tools.
• Complete documentation of the manufacturing process.
• Request, generate, validate and/or implement ECRs and ECNs.
• Support new product introduction and/or prototypes.
• Coordinate with related corporate personnel as necessary.
• Generate applicable reports and charts.
• Train colleagues, technicians, facilitators, operators as required.
• Support PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.
