Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. in Mexicali, Mexico seeks a Lead Soldering Engineer to develop, implement and maintain soldering methods, tools and processes for wave and selective soldering in electronic manufacture.

You will collaborate with Design, Test and Reliability Engineering to drive cost reductions, yield improvements, and successful new product launches, while mentoring operators and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electronic Industry and electronic manufacturing.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Experience with IPC standards in a production setting.
• Familiar with wave soldering or selective soldering processes.
• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean Manufacturing tools and improve production metrics.
• Balance manufacturing lines and cells to TAKT time.
• Identify and develop projects using Six Sigma methodologies.
• Document manufacturing processes and generate reports.
• Support new product introductions and prototypes.
• Train colleagues and operators as needed.
